Messi the Magician

 

Lionel Messi, is a Argentine soccer player who is considered as  the greatest soccer player in the world. He is one of the greatest player in the history of football. I can not finish writing about him. Since my childhood, Messi is my idol. I grow watching him playing football. I still remember that, I used to watch his matches late night in my childhood. Every time I became amazed by watching him playing football. In one word, he is magical. The way he control the ball, make assists, score a goal is totally amazing.

 



Messi achieve almost everything in football. He is the only player in the world who achieve 8 Ballon D’or. Also, He won 4 UEFA champions league,5 Laliga, 4 Copa del-rey,1 Copa America and many more. As we know, FIFA world cup is the biggest competition in the world. In the last year 2022, Leonel Messi won the world cup also. So, I can say that 2022 is the best year of my life.

 

 


But the journey of wining the world cup was not so easy. In his football career, Messi always dreamed about wining the world cup. Though in his career, he had achieve almost every achievements but that can not satisfied him because his target and dream is to win the world cup.  We all know that, in 2014 world cup, Messi got so far to wining the world cup but unfortunately he was defeated by Germany in the final. Also, Messi was defeated by Chile in the final of Copa America in 2016. After that, Messi was completely broke down and chose to retire from international football. That was so heart breaking moment for Messi and Argentina fans. It always hits him badly that, he could not achieve anything for his country and supporters. Then Messi come back strongly and win Copa America against Brazil in 2021, Finalissima against Italy in 2021 and the world cup against France in 2022.




 


 


Lets share my story ,In the beginning , when Argentina lose to Saudi Arabia I was completely broken. Because, that was Messi’s last world cup and I had high hope from Messi. Surprisingly, in the next matches, Messi came back with back to back victory with Mexico, Poland and become the group champion of group C. Then in the round of 16 Messi wins against Australia which gives us positive hopes for Argentina. After that, in the quarter final stage Messi had a hard game with Netherlands and wins that match in penalty. Then, Messi wins against Croatia in the semi final round with his outstanding performance. Now the moment has arrived, Argentina is in the world cup final with the toughest team France. At the beginning , Argentina scored 2goals & got the lead against France. All in a sudden, Mbappe scored back to back 2goals and leveled with Argentina. At that moment, all of our heart beat become faster and tension in head. We definitely do not want to repeat 2014 moment & we all want that Messi won the world cup. Then the match turn into penalty shootout & Emi Martinez saved 3shoots against France. Martinez’s outstanding performance make Argentina to the world cup champion. He is the man of the match & in this world cup Martinez plays a big role in every matches. At the time, when Messi won the world cup, I can not write in words that how happy I was. I literally cried on that moment. I always dreamed about it that, one day Messi will win the world cup & he does it. By wining the world cup trophy, Messi taught us to never give up. Also, always be patience and follow your dream , one day you will definitely achieve it. I am blessed that, I was born in the era of Messi. I will definitely tell my future generation who is Messi & what he has done to football history.
