     Why Engineering student finds interest in everything that isn’t engineering ?

I used to study privately to a brother who was an engineering student when I was in class 11. He was very expert in photography. Within a year, he started a part-time job in wedding photography. Also, I have a brother who was also an engineering student. He was very passionate about playing cricket. Within 3 months, he started playing as a batsman under a reputed club. Now he is a player on the U19 national team. Sometimes, engineering students become more successful than engineering fields. Now I am also an engineering student. I also find interest in other things which is not connected with my engineering studies.  There are many reasons behind the interesting pathway of getting passionate except engineering.

Engineering students are naturally curious individuals who possess a thirst for knowledge. This curiosity extends beyond the realm of technical subjects and often leads them to explore various interests. From art and literature to music and philosophy, these students have a genuine passion for learning and a desire to understand different facets of human creativity and expression. It is this diverse range of interests that drives them to explore passions outside the confines of engineering.

Interested in photography.


While engineering itself requires problem-solving and innovation, some students find that their creative outlets lie in unconventional domains. Engaging in activities such as writing, painting, or playing a musical instrument allows them to express their creativity freely. These outlets provide a sense of fulfillment that may not be fully realized within the technical constraints of engineering. Pursuing these creative passions not only brings joy but also enhances their overall personal and professional growth.

Interested in playing music instruments.

Engineers are good at deadlines- because of submitting assignments after assignments year after year, engineers are good at getting things done, which is useful when learning new things and doing stuff that you have not done before. It also allows us to be chill in any situation working constantly and never tiring like this demo.

Nature of engineers.



Engineering students often possess a strong desire to make a positive impact on society. While engineering can contribute to societal progress, some students discover that their true calling lies in fields such as social work, public policy, or environmental advocacy. They find fulfillment in addressing social issues, advocating for change, and working towards a more equitable and sustainable world. By following their passions outside of engineering, they can directly contribute to causes they deeply care about.



The journey of an engineering student is often demanding and time-consuming, leaving little room for personal exploration and self-reflection. However, some students realize the importance of holistic personal growth and prioritize activities that nourish their well-being. Engaging in physical fitness, mindfulness practices, or pursuing hobbies unrelated to engineering allows them to maintain a healthy work-life balance. By investing time in these endeavors, they discover a sense of fulfillment and overall satisfaction that contributes to their overall well-being.

Interested in flying drone.


Engineering education equips students with a multidisciplinary mindset, enabling them to connect various fields of knowledge. This broader perspective encourages some students to explore passions in diverse areas such as entrepreneurship, management, or even the arts. By embracing a multidisciplinary approach, they can leverage their engineering skills while pursuing their passions in unconventional domains. This interdisciplinary mindset often leads to unique insights and innovative solutions.



In conclusion, it is not uncommon for engineering students to discover their passion lies outside of traditional engineering disciplines. Their diverse interests, curiosity, desire for personal growth, and multidisciplinary mindset often drive them to pursue passions beyond engineering. By embracing these newfound passions, they can lead fulfilling lives while making a positive impact on society. Let us celebrate and support the engineering students who find their passion in everything except engineering, as they contribute their unique talents to various fields and bring about meaningful change in the world.
